What will LGOs do on campus?

Your ultimate goals are to 1) have as many students as possible join Gather to discover progressive political actions, 2) have as many students as possible sign up for your campus's College Activist Newsletter, and 3) have all on-campus progressive groups create their own Communities to connect with activists.

You are free to be creative in your approach, but here are some basic responsibilities:

Tabling

Speaking with students about Gather's political events and actions in popular locations around campus (don't worry, we'll provide materials and make sure you know how to do this!)

Collateral Distribution

Passing out laptop stickers, flyers, pens, and other materials that will push students to seek out progressive political opportunities on Gather (we provide all of this!)

Social Media Engagement

Posting about local progressive groups, upcoming events on and off campus, and calls to action in various social media groups for students (we provide you with all of this information each week)

Institutional Engagement

Coordinating with any civic engagement centers, political organizations, or student government bodies to 1) have on-campus political groups post their events and actions onto Gather and 2) obtain institutional support for progressive activism and engagement on campus

Events

Working with our LGO Team to host activist trainings, speaker series, and political events that encourage students to join the progressive movement and teach students how to have the greatest impact on government reform
